Colin makes extraordinary food. The restaurant is quaint and cosy and the staff makes you feel welcome. There is a nice wee terrace in the back for outdoor dining during the nicer Scottish weather.

The Smithy is hands down the best restaurant in Stirling.

I had lunch at The Smithy. The fish and chips was not as good as some places, but good, and the carrot cake was very good. Nice atmosphere.

We LOVED Smithy's! The owners were so sweet, and the food was so good! We went with my parents and our five picky eater children, and everyone found something they loved. I ordered a turkey, cranberry and Brie sandwich one night and dish & chips another night. One of the kids ordered chili. Everyone was pleased with their selections.

The kids ordered strawberry milkshake/smoothie, and the presentation alone makes one feel special. We finished the meal with Millionaire Shortbread. It was so delicious that we bought more for the road. Sorry, I'm gushing!

The next night, we couldn't decide where to eat dinner, so we went back to Smithy's. It was just as fabulous the second time! It closes early, so watch the clock if you're planning to go for dinner.

We stumbled into here from the mist and rain. The hostess was amazing. The food was incredible. Haggis was on point. The sandwiches tasty. The baked potato was supreme.
